I keep them right by the door for slipping on quickly to take the dog outside for potty breaks.Anyway, my old pair had cracks in them & would let in water when I was wading in the creek. They had also been chewed by my dog when he was a puppy. I've always had plain, black rubber boots. When I saw these, I was excited to try them. I ordered my usual size, 7, & they fit perfectly. I do want to say that they fit my calves pretty well. I'd say I have average sized calves, so if you have bigger calf muscles or carry extra weight, they might be a bit tight for you.The colors are true to the picture. The only way to get around until the water recedes is to have wellies. These wellies are so cute. They are well-made and fit perfectly. They are lightweight with good soles. They are definitely waterproof. I have been in water over my ankles and no water is seeping in. I have not slipped in them at all. I wear a size 8 and that is the size boot I obtained. I can move around in them nicely (ease of movement) and my feet do not get hot. I even had to wear them while walking my do g because our street was flooded from so much rain (good for walking, not so much for running). I like blue boots with the flowers on them. Staying with my friend for a while and her back yard has an uneven spot that tend to accumulate water and get really muddy. If I wanted to go to the veggie garden or chicken coop, I needed something waterproof and easy to clean, this fits the bill perfectly.Weight is pretty average. Mid range compare to other rain bits I have at home.Took off a star because of the insole. The thin lining comes out when I take the boots off, I find that quite annoying.The top of the shaft is very tight on my calf . I’ve gained a lot of weight the last couple of years and this is probably a me problem, I should have ordered a pair of wide calf boots. Should fit most average size calf’s easily. (I’m from Seattle .. have always wanted… now live in Southern California and will never need until fall goes a few weeks)… but I love them!! Has reflective tab at back of boot too! I wear size 7 shoes and bought size 7 and they fit perfectly with a regular pair of socks on.
